KSK is a purely military unit, akin the SAS. It grew from the
prior 5./FschJgBtl 252 Kommando, The Commando-Company was part of the paratrooper battalion
252 in NAGOLD (The Black Forest Region of Germany). It was formed to protect German citizens and interests
outside the Federal Republic.
